Sortis de l'oubli / Not forgotten

Bonsoir! Je viens vous montrer deux nouvelles cartes de Noël (enfin, nouvelles c'est selon puisque je les ai déjà postées sur flickr). Sur la première la pièce centrale vient de mon "panier à déchets". L'an dernier j'avais fait l'embossage pardessus du papier imprimé et je ne l'ai jamais employé. Maintenant j'ai fait quelques taches d'eau et j'ai cousu cette pièce sur une carte tamponnée du nouveau tampon de fond.

Hello! Today I have two new Christmas cards to show you (well, not THAT new since I've already posted them on flickr). On the first one I used a piece that came from my scrap basket. Last year I clear embossed the image over some text printed paper and never used it. Now, I added some water splotches and sewn this piece over a card stamped with the new music background stamp.

Sur la deuxième il y a aussi quelque chose sauvé de l'oubli, la base même de la carte. C'est un tout vieux cardstock que j'ai acheté il y a très longtemps aux Etats-Unis. Ce n'est pas le meilleur des rouges et en plus il est lisse. Mais que nenni, ça sert à quoi les tampons?

On the second one there's also something saved from the past, the base itself. It's made from a very old cardstock that I bought very long time ago while in the States. It's not the best shade of red and it's a no-texture one. But what stamps are for?

We have all received some of this gorgeous seam binding ribbon. I used it on this Christmas card. No surprise here. :)

J'aime beaucoup ce tampon de Noël, ici je l'ai embossé avec une poudre à embosser Distress. Et j'ai rempli les espaces avec un stylo doré (qui semble être jaune sur la photo :-/) Voilà pour le petit détail. Maintenant il vous suffit de créer une carte selon le sketch et de poster le lien vers votre création sur le blog de Card Patterns. Bon weekend!

I love that ornament stamp, I embossed it here with a Distress embossing powder. And I filled in the spaces with a golden gel pen (which seems to be yellow on the picture :-/) Here's for the little detail. And now all you need to do is to create a card according to the sketch and to post the link to your creation on Card Patterns blog. Have a nice weekend!

Embellish Magazine challenge take 2

Hello! A quick message to show you my second take on the Embellish Magazine challenge.

Je n'ai pas pu résister! Tout d'abord parce que j'aime la feutrine. Et deux, parce que j'ai pris l'autre jour des photos de ma Pupuce qui portait des couleurs tout droit sorties de ce défi! Et à la place de jeux les cordages étaient dans la 4e couleur - en jaune!

I just couldn't resist! First, I love felt. And second, I took the other day some pics of my daughter who was wearing clothes in colors from the challenge! And at the playground some elements were in the 4th color - yellow!

J'ai réalisé cette bande de feutrine selon le tuto de Dawn MacVey trouvé ICI.

J'avais de la peine à me décider lesquelles des photos garder et lesquelles écarter. Mais pourquoi choisir? ;-)

I really had a hard time to decide which pictures to keep and which to leave out. But in fact, why choose? ;-)

Deux de plus / Two more

Bonsoir! On dirait que la saison de Noël bat son plein en ce moment chez moi... En tout cas, si il ne pleut pas dehors, il pleut des cartes à la maison! En voici deux nouvelles, les deux pour le défi mensuel de Hero Arts.

Hello! One could say that we're in the middle of Christmas season here... At least, if it's not raining outside, it's raining Christmas cards at my home! Here are two newly made, both for the Hero Arts monthly challenge.

Pour la première j'ai utilisé une photo des branches de sapin sous le givre prise en Janvier. Je l'ai imaginée comme le fond pour ce ornement embossé en blanc et coloré avec encre bleue. J'ai ajouté ce cordon argenté ainsi que quelques flocons et le sentiment, tous tamponnés avec une encre Dew Drop Brilliance. Les voeux sont en polonais, comme c'est pratique les tampons lettres!

For the first I used a picture of frosted pine branch I took in January. I imagined it as a background for this ornament white embossed and distressed with some blue ink. I added this silver twine as well as some snowflakes and a sentiment, all stamped with a Dew Drop Brilliance ink. The sentiment is in Polish - it's so convenient the single letters stamps!

Pour la deuxième je me suis inspirée d'une carte de Celeste Smith que j'ai vu ICI. J'ai voulu me l'adopter en utilisant les tampons. Et voilà le résultat.

For the second one I was inspired by a card by Celeste Smith that I saw HERE. I wanted to make this idea mine by using stamps. Here's the result.

Thinking inking II semaine / week 2

Bonjour! Je continue avec les cartes faite pour la deuxième semaine du cours de Jennifer MacGuire sur Two Peas. Hier je vous en ai présenté une avec la technique du "ink bleeding". Aujourd'hui je commence avec une autre carte avec un hibou et son bonnet rouge. :) Cette fois-ci, le fond était fait avec mon bloc acrylique que j'ai encré puis sprayé avec e l'eau. Quand le papier a séché, j'ai encore tamponné quelques flocons et ajouté des points de Sitckles ci et là.

Hello! I'm continuing making cards for the second week of Jennifer MacGuire's class over at Two Peas. Yesterday I showed you a card made with the "ink bleeding" technique. Today I start with another owl-in-red-hat card. :) This time, I made the background by inking up my stamping block, spraying it with water and stamping my paper with it. Once it was dry, I stamped some snowflakes and added some Stickles here and there.

Matériel: cdc Migros; tampons HA et myStamp Box; encres et Stickles Ranger; yeux mobiles, fil rouge

La deuxième carte utilise la technique du tamponnage de la "deuxième génération". J'ai tamponné mon image une première fois sur du papier aquarelle, je l'ai sprayé d'eau et j'ai tamponné une deuxième fois. Puis, j'ai peint le papier tout autour avec une autre encre Distress diluée à l'eau. Je pense qu'un tampon avec moins de détails irait mieux pour cette technique.

The second card uses the "second generation" stamping technique. I inked up my stamp, sprayed with water, stamped the first time, sprayed again and stamped the second time. Then, I painted the paper all around the images with some Distress ink mixed with water. But I think a stamp with less details will work better for this technique.

Sur la carte suivante j'ai justement utilisé un autre tampon avec des lignes plus simples. Et je trouve que ça va nettement mieux!

On the next card I used another stamp with less intricate motifs. And I find it works really better!

Et voici la dernière avec la même technique que sur la carte de hier, "ink bleeding". J'ai utilisé des tampons de myStamp Box qui ont des lignes assez simples. Et là de nouveau, ça a beaucoup mieux marché, je trouve!

And here's the last one with the same technique that on yesterday's card, ink bleeding. I used some myStamp Box on this one which lines are rather simple. And here again I find it worked much better!

Card Patterns #86

Bonjour! C'est samedi alors il est temps pour un nouveau sketch de Card Patterns!

Hello! It's Saturday so it's time for the new Card Patterns sketch!

Nous avons pu de nouveau travailler avec les très jolis tampons de Prickley Pear. J'ai choisi d'essayer une nouvelle technique, celle de "ink bleeding" comme proposé par Jennifer MacGuire dans son cours sur Two Peas. En gros, il s'agit de tamponner des motifs avec des encres Distress sur du papier aquarelle puis de les sprayer légèrement avec un peu d'eau. Puis, on peut ajouter un peu d'encre couleur Antique Linen et Walnut Stain sur les bords pour vieillir l'aspect des motifs découpés.

We were able again to work with those beautiful stamps from Prickley Pear. I've chosen to try out the new technique of "ink bleeding" as proposed by Jennifer MacGuire in her class on Two Peas. It works like this: stamp your motifs on watercolor paper with Distress Inks then spray lightly with water. After cutting out the images you can add some Antique Linen and Walnut Stain to your images.

Bon, je ne suis pas tout à fait contente du résultat parce que ces tampons ont des jolis détails qui se sont perdus à cause de l'eau. Mais je vais réessayer encore! A bientôt alors!

Well, I'm not totally happy with the results because those stamps have some nice details that got lost during the process. But I'll try again! See you soon!
