Doigts tout sales! / Dirty fingers!

Bonsoir! Et voilà, je joue de nouveau! On dirait que ça rend accro... Je vous présente la photo inspiration. Il s'agit de défi d'Embellish Magazine de nouveau, cette fois l'élément obligatoire, à part les couleurs, c'est de la peinture. Je ne sais pas vous mais moi, chaque fois que je sors mes petits pots, je me salis les doigts... :)

Hello! That's it, I play again! One could say it makes one addicted... Here's the inspiration picture. It's the Embellish Magazine challenge, apart from the colors, the twist is to use paint. I don't know how you do it but each and every time I take out my little jars of paint, I get my fingers dirty... :)

 J'ai tout de suite pensé de faire une carte de Noël (on y arrive!!!). J'ai utilisé un paper artisanal et fait des traits avec un pinceau (mes enfants diraient que j'ai "peinturé"!) Un peu du masking tape, ficelle, un brad étoile, une carte très simple, comme d'hab...

I thought immediately about making a Christmas card (it's getting closer!!!). I used a hand made paper and made strokes with a paint brush. Some washi tape, twine, a star brad, a very simple card, as always...

Pour la base de la carte, j'ai encré assez fortement les bords puis j'ai tamponné l'image gagnée ICI. Un usage très timide de ce ma-gni-fique tampon mais je ne pourrai pas en faire si peu longtemps!

For the card base, I inked quite heavily the edges and stamped the image won HERE. A very timid use of this splen-did stamp but I won't be able to make so little for a long time!

Les photos sont affreuses, prises tout à l'heure quand il faisait déjà nuit. Mais je vais en ajouté une bonne demain, si tout va bien. Alors à tout bientôt!

The pictures are awful, I took them tonight when it was dark outside already. But I will add a better one tomorrow, if all goes well. See you soon then!

Les jours filent à une vitesse grand V, déjà jeudi, nous sommes à un jour de nos vacances d'Automne, yeah! :) Il me semble que c'était avant hier que j'ai posté mon dernier projet mais non, c'était il y a 5 jours! M'enfin, en voilà un autre. Cette fois-ci, je me suis inspirée de la photo ci-dessous.

Hello! Days fly so quickly, we're Thursday already which means we're a day apart from our Autumn holidays, yeah! :) It seems as if I posted my last project a day before yesterday but no, it was 5 days ago! Anyway, here's another one. This time, I was inspired by the picture here after.

Les défis d'Embellish Magazine me parlent toujours ou presque. C'est toujours agréable de se mettre à l'ouvrage. Ce qui était incroyable c'est que toutes les couleurs de la photo inspiration se trouvaient dans la mienne! Mon fils avec un de ses "petits" dessins. Oui, petit, parce qu'autrement ce sont toujours des fresques, lol! En tout cas, j'en reviens toujours pas comme il dessine bien et en utilisant tout plein de couleurs (alors que les médecins suspectent qu'il est dalto...)

The Embellish Magazine challenges almost always inspire me. It's always a pleasure to start working on something for them. The incredible thing was that all the colors from the inspiration picture were present in mine! My son with one of his "little" drawings. Yes, little because usually they are huge with tons of details. I still am amazed how well he can draw and using plenty of colors (even though the doctors suspect he's color-blind...) Btw, the layout tells the story of how my son's drawing production increased from 0 to 100% in 12 months. Even his teachers remarked that his pictures were truly great. And I couldn't be a prouder Momma! :)

J'ai tamponné les étoiles sous le titre ainsi que sur la papier bleu. Puis j'ai ajouté quelques brads pour une bonne mesure...

I've stamped some stars under the title and on the blue paper. Then, I've added some star brads for a good measure...

I have a thing... for Embellish!

Yes, it seems I quite often participate in their challenges. And here comes the next one!

I have quickly found a subject - my son and his dynamic kind of speaking - with his arms flying around each time he explains something. Then I took out some pp, sewn them together and voilà! I couldn't resist stamping here and there though... :) Chose myStamp Box stamps for the border and pennants which are clear embossed right under the title...

So thanks Embellish for inspiring me to make some more layouts! :)

Embellish Magazine's Rainbow challenge, take 2

Hi again! In fact I wanted to post this about two days ago but well, life got involved. :) But here we go! Back to the rainbow challenge over at Embellish! I'm not sure if I'm right but I sense a trend in there. Or is it only me to see rainbows everywhere? Here are two examples. I saw this one on neighbors balcony:

And then also in my own crafty supplies - my stock of felt! Yum!!!

And here comes my project. I've already used this idea on a card once but wasn't very happy with it. I feel a bit better with this version but it surely could be improved.

Embellish Magazine's Rainbow challenge

Hello folks! In fact, is there anyone reading me yet? With me not visiting and not commenting almost anywhere, I know you must have all get discouraged to come here. I'm really sorry about this! Hopefully one day I'll be able again to see all the wonderful things you all do. For the moment I'm trying to keep up with life, my assignments and throwing in a challenge from time to time. Like this absolutely irresistible Embellish Magazine Rainbow challenge. Here's the announcement:

And here's my card. I made it using a simple flower from Funky Flowers set by myStamp Box and a sentiment from Mention it! set (which is among my favorites). I've added some gems to give those flowers life and some twine just for pleasure. :)

Alors voici ma page avec les photos prises le 1 décembre lors des fortes chutes de neige. Je dois dire que pour l'utilisation de ce papier de Cosmo Cricket j'étais inspirée par la carte d'Amy. Le reste est venu un peu tout seul...

So here's my layout with pictures taken on the 1st of December while it was snowing heavily. I have to admit that I was inspired by Amy's card to use this Cosmo Cricket's paper in this way. The rest came about rather easily...

Le défi d'Embellish Magazine challenge

Bonjour! Me revoilà après quelques jours de pause pour vous montrer une carte que j'ai faite pour le défi courant d'Embellish Magazine. Et oui, une carte et pas une page, comme dernièrement. Les couleurs du défi sont celles qui nous entourent en ce moment, les arbres sont vraiment magnifiques! Mais comme la consigne supplémentaire de touche vintage n'est pas simple pour moi, je préférais rester dans un petit cadre d'une carte. D'ailleurs, ça tombe bien car c'est l'anni d'une de mes belles-soeurs aujourd'hui!

Hello! I'm back after a few days to show you a card that I made for the current Embellish Magazine challenge. Yes, a card and not a layout as I did lately. The colors of this challenge are those that we see outside just now, trees are gorgeous! But as the twist was to add a vintage touch, I preferred to stay in a restrained space of a card. By the way, it's one of my SIL's birthday today so it was quite convenient!

J'espère qu'il y a assez d'éléments vintage sur ma carte: dentelle en papier, fond avec des notes de musique, des perles, un peu de ruban en soie que j'ai colorié avec une encre Distress, une fleur en fermeture éclair, des feuilles tamponnées sur du papier aquarelle qui viennent d'un set de myStamp Box et ce feuillet de calendrier. A ce propos, cette feuille vient d'un calendrier polonais que j'ai un peu vieillie avec de l'encre. Et c'est un peu à cause d'elle qu'il y a des feuilles qui figure sur ma carte. Parce que Novembre en polonais se dit Listopad et parle justement de feuilles qui tombent!

I hope there is enough vintage elements on my card: a doily, music background, some pearls, some silk binding that I colored with Distress ink, a zipper flower, leaves stamped on watercolor paper with stamps from myStamp Box set and a page from a calendar. BTW, it comes from a calendar in Polish that I distressed with some ink. And it's because of that page that there are some leaves on my card. November in Polish is Listopad and literally it means falling leaves!

Hello! A quick message to show you my second take on the Embellish Magazine challenge.

Je n'ai pas pu résister! Tout d'abord parce que j'aime la feutrine. Et deux, parce que j'ai pris l'autre jour des photos de ma Pupuce qui portait des couleurs tout droit sorties de ce défi! Et à la place de jeux les cordages étaient dans la 4e couleur - en jaune!

I just couldn't resist! First, I love felt. And second, I took the other day some pics of my daughter who was wearing clothes in colors from the challenge! And at the playground some elements were in the 4th color - yellow!

Embellish Magazine challenge

Good evening! First, list me say a warm THANK YOU to all of you who followed me yesterday on myStamp Box blog to leave a comment on my post! It made me happy to read those over there!

Et maintenant, passons à la page du jour. Pour maintenir la tradition, j'ai fais une page pour le défi en cours d'Embellish Magazine. Les couleurs étaient magnifiques, du brun, rose, rouge et jaune plus une matière que j'aime énormément: le feutre! Et une fois n'est pas coutume, j'ai scrapé pas mes enfants mais... mes nouvelles chaussures! Je vous laisse lire le pourquoi du comment...

And now, let's talk about today's layout. In order to maintain the tradition, I made a layout for the current Embellish Magazine's challenge. The colors are gorgeous, brown, pink, red and yellow with some of my favorite material: felt! And for once I didn't scrap my kids but... my new shoes! Here's the journaling: I so much desired to have them... I couldn't wait to receive them. Here they are at last: my new MBT shoes! Since I'm walking plenty of kilometers everyday anyway, let's make it useful! "Can improve posture - Can treat neck and back pain - Can activate more muscle groups - Can reduce stress on joints and back - Can alleviate feet pain - Can firm calf and thigh muscles" I won't spit on those promises especially if they're true! That those are not the slimmest shoes? Well, in fact, I don't really care about that!

Pas beaucoup de feutre, juste ces lettres dans une couleur merveilleuse qu'est le rouge. Et vous avez vu le fond? Je crois que c'est le syndrome de Creativa qui approche: j'utilise mes papiers pour faire de la place! :) Le petit rond est une étiquette récupérée sur les souliers en question. Et si vous ne les connaissez pas ces anti-chaussures, voilà un lien pour vous cultiver (et même vous faire envie peut-être...) A bientôt!

Just a touch of felt with those beautiful red alphas. Did you see the background? I guess that's the Creativa syndrome (our little Swiss sort of a CHA): I'm using my papers to make room for new stuff! :) The circle is a tag I kept from the shoes packaging. Tradition?

Bonjour! Cela m'arrive très rarement de scrapper rapidement les photos fraîchement prises. Mais une fois n'est pas coutume, quoi que ce serait une saine habitude à prendre! Bref, voilà comment j'ai fêté cette journée mondiale de la carterie, en faisant une page avec des photos de vendredi! J'avoue que j'ai aussi fait deux cartes mais ça sera pour une autre fois... Là, j'ai utilisé la palette de couleurs d'Embellish Magazine et cela devient vraiment une tradition! Une palette - une page. Cela n'est pour me déplaire, je dois dire...

Hello! It's a rare thing for me to scrap right away newly taken pictures. But once is not yet a habit although it would be a good one! Anyway, here's how I celebrated the WCMD, I made a layout with pictures I took on Friday! I confess I also made two cards but this will be a subject for another day... I used the color combo by Embellish Magazine and this is almost a tradition now! One combo - one layout. Which is not something to displease me...

Une autre tradition, celle de vendredi, faire une tresse/brioche pour le weekend. Et Jonatan veut toujours m'assister et même aider. Alors le voilà, pinceau à la main et un grand sourire aux lèvres.

Here's another tradition, the Friday one, to make a brioche bread for the weekend. And Jonatan wants to assist and to help. And I oblige happily: I let him sift the flour, add sugar, salt, baking powder and to "paint" the bread before baking. Here's my son, with the brush in his hand and a large smile on his face.

La difficulté supplémentaire consistait à utiliser des tampons pour faire le fond. J'en ai utilisé deux, la grosse fleur de Hero Arts que j'ai embossé en noir, et les point pour donner de la texture au fond noir. J'ai colorié les milieux des fleurs en jaune avec un feutre et je les ai paint avec du Glossy. La perfo de bordure Apron Lace (Dentelle de tablier) m'a semblé appropriée même si Jonatan n'en portait pas. :)

The twist was to use stamps to create background. I used the large flower by Hero Arts that I heat embossed in black, and polka dots to add texture to the black cardstock. I also colored flowers centers with a yellow marker and added some Glossy. The Apron Lace border punch seemed appropriate even though Jonatan didn't wear any apron that day. :)

Bonjour! Et oui, je trouve ces défis d'Embellish Magazine avec les palettes de couleurs si inspirants! Surtout que cette fois-ci il y avait du vert et du kraft dedans! Une invitation à ne pas manquer!

Hello! Yes, I find those Embellish Magazine challenges with color combos so inspiring! Especially that this time there was green and kraft involved! An invitation not to miss!

J'ai voulu raconter ce mini épisode qui s'est passé un matin où ma fille a grondé son grand frère qui faisait des bulles ans son lait avec un paille. Mademoiselle a tout bonnement dit: "Bzzzz, non non non, Nanan!", le petit doigt en l'air pour appuyer ses dires. Du coup, Jonatan doit se tenir bien, sinon sa soeur va encore le gronder! Comment ça se fait que j'ai cette photo de la miss avec son doigt levé? Rassurez-vous, je n'ai pas réussi à la prendre le jour même. Mais deux ou trois jours plus tard, je lui ai demandé de répéter le "non non non" et elle a obéit! Avec un petit sourire coquin sur son visage!!! Et si je vous raconte tout ça, c'est surtout pour vous éviter les torticolis si vous essayez de lire le journaling placé dans le mauvais sens...

I wanted to tell the story which happened one morning when my daughter scolded her big brother who was making bubbles in his milk with a straw. Miss K. said "Bzzz, no no no, Nanan!", holding one finger in the air. Now, Jonatan has to be very good, otherwise his sister is going to scold him again! But how come that I have this pic of the little lady with her finger raised? Be assured I was surprised by this event that I didn't snap it on the spot. But two or three days later I asked her to say the "no no no" phrase. And she obliged! With this malicious smile on her face!!! And if I tell you all this is that your neck won't her after you try to read the journaling which is placed in the wrong way...

La consigne supplémentaire consistait à utiliser la technique du "paper piecing". Je ne sais pas si découper des tampons embossés compte mais au moins j'ai une nouvelle page à mettre dans mon album! :)

The extra difficulty was to use the paper piecing technique. I'm not sure if cutting out some embossed stamps counts but at least I have a new layout to put into my album! :)

Défi Embellish Magazine challenge

Bonsoir! Me revoilà avec une page! Enfin!!! Pas celle dont il était question dans un des postes précédent mais toujours une page! Pour la faire, j'ai utilisé la palette des couleurs proposée par Embellish Magazine. Le petit plus - utiliser des carrés. Sur ma page ce sont les photos qui ont pris cette forme. Autrement que dire, j'aime beaucoup le vert et le violet ensemble alors je me suis éclatée!

Hello! I'm back with a layout! Finally!!! Not the one I was talking about in one of the previous posts but a layout anyway! I used Embellish Magazine's color palette for it. The little extra thing - use squares. On my layout, the photos took that form. A part from this, what to say apart that I love green and purple together so I just had lots of fun!

The journaling tells the story of when my daughter starting walking on her own. There was nothing to stop her! It was so fun to see her walk across the room with her hands up and big smile on her face! And it was happening so much earlier than it was the case for her brother!

Comme vous pouvez le constater, j'ai enfin trouvé une maison à mes deux papillons embossés avec les encres Distress! :) Et autrement, je me demande si je ne m'éloigne pas trop du C&S?... On verra avec la prochaine page! A bientôt!

As you can see, I have finally found a home for my two Distress stamped and clear embossed butterflies! :) And otherwise, I'm just thinking if I'm not going too far from the C&S style?... We'll see on the next layout! See you soon!

Est-ce un oiseau? / Is it a bird?

Bonjour! Après avoir fait cette carte, je me suis posé cette question. Parce que pour le défi d'Embellish Magazine, à part les magnifiques couleurs, il fallait un oiseau. Et voilà que moi j'ai mis une chouette! Et là, je me suis dis que quand on montre aux enfants des oiseaux, on ne les nomme pas forcément. Par contre, quand on montre une chouette, on dis que s'en est une, n'est-ce pas? Enfin, il me semble... Mais je crois que c'est quand même un oiseau!

Hello! After I made that card, I asked myself that question. Because for Embellish Magazine's challenge, apart from beautiful colors, there must be a bird. And I've chosen an owl! And then I thought that when we show different birds to kids, we don't always say what's the bird. But when we show an owl, we say its' an owl! Well, at least I guess we do... But I think that's definitely a bird!

Cet hibou est une image digitale de Hero Arts. Il avait des plumes bleues mais je les ai couvertes de Stickles ce qui lui embellit le manteau! :) Je vais aussi faire entrer cette carte dans le défi mensuel de HA. Si des fleurs peuvent dire "Je pense à toi", pourquoi pas un hibou!

This cute owl ia a digital stamp and comes from Hero Arts. It had some blue feathers so I covered them with green Stickles (which makes his coat even prettier!) I'll also enter this card into HA monthly challenge. If flowers can say "Just me thinking of you", why not an owl!

Une page et un mini et une carte! / A layout, a mini album and a card!

Bonjour! Aujourd'hui j'aimerai vous montrer une page que j'ai réalisée pour le défi mensuel sur Hero Arts. Ma page combine un peu deux thèmes du défi car d'un côté il s'agit d'un petit voyage, de l'autre il y a un mini album sur ma page. J'avais tout simplement trop de photos pour toutes les mettre sur une page alors je me suis rabattue sur l'option de faire un mini et de l'inclure dessus. Je sais, j'aurais pu faire une double page mais bon, un défi reste un défi! :) J'ai me suis aussi servie de la palette de couleurs d'Embellish Magazine puisqu'elles semblaient bien aller avec les photos qui sont visibles. A part les habits de mes loulous et le verts des plantes... Sur la deuxième photo vous pouvez voir les détails du mini: la couverture est simplement accrochée dessous la marge de droite. Et dedans il y a les pages en accordéon, ce qui m'a permis d'y mettre des photos de deux côtés. La toute première photo est celle d'un intrus. Mais ce toucan était si beau et coloré que je ne pouvais pas ne pas l'inclure!

Hello! Today I'd love to show you a layout I made fir this month's challenge over at Hero Arts. My layout combines two themes of this challenge since it's about a little trip we made and also there's a mini book on it. I had too many pictures to put them all on the layout so Ive chosen the option of making a booklet and including it on my layout. I know, I could make a spread but well, a challenge is a challenge! :) I used the color palette as proposed by Embellish Magazine since it seemed to go well with pictures that are visible, apart maybe from my kids clothes and the green of trees... Here's the story: we went to a place called Papiliorama. These are two big tents with tropical temperatures inside. One is filled with all sorts of butterflies. In the other one, there's night and one can see (hardly :)) some animals and bats (those hurried us outside very quickly!) We went there in the beginning of March so outside it was quite chilly but inside we were sweating and trying to get rid of our clothes! My daughter was learning to walk with her brother's help. We finished the visit by playing on the playground outside. All the pictures illustrate this part of the journaling. in the mini book there are pictures of beautiful butterflies that we saw in the tent. The cover is tucked under the small flap. And pages are made accordion style - I adhered pictures on both sides of it. The very first picture on the back of the cover is an intruder. But I thought this bird was so colorful that I couldn't leave it out!

Une fois la pages terminée, il me restaient quelques chutes. Je m'en suis servie pour en faire une carte. J'ai aussi utilisé un nouveau tampon que j'ai trouvé ce matin dans une boutique.

Once the layout was finished, there were some scraps left. I used them to make a card. I also used a new stamp I found this morning in a shop.
