World Card Making Day Blog Hop with Paper Crafts!

Hello lovely people! I'm very excited to welcome you on my blog which is the first stop in the WCMD 2012 winners blog hop! What an honour to be part of this event!!!
(And sorry for the late arrival, something went wrong with the publication...)

I think even one year after receiving an email announcing my win in the contest, I still have to pinch myself! :) My card won in the Season's Greetings category and this year I was asked to make a card for the hop in the same category. Since you have 20 stops to make I won't bugger you with much "talk" and without further ado, here's my card:

Usually the WCMD is a good time to get started on those holiday cards. My card could be easily mass produced, the key being to cut the work in chunks: heat embossing - day one, die-cutting and cutting out - day two, sewing and finishing - day three. :)

OK, now let's hop on! Here's the complete list of participants:
 Agata Pfister - that's me!
Your next stop --- Amber Kroening

Have fun hopping! :)

Bon weekend! / Good weekend!

Hello! :)

Hello! I've thought about posting something else today but my mail box made me change my mind. I received today the March / April issue of Paper Crafts magazine with my winning card from last year's World Card Making Day contest. There's also a pic of mine but that's less important... :)

Here's the card. And I have a confession to make. I put that card in the envelope because sending just one card seemed silly to me. And here we go...

It accompanied the card here after, my favorite for the contest, turned down apparently. Still, I love it, how about you? ;-)

A bientôt!

And that's how my weekend begins. Hope yours will be nice, too! See you soon!

WCMD

Hello fellow card-makers! I'm very glad to welcome you to my blog!

So, as everyone knows, WCMD launches officially the season of Christmas card-making. And here's my almost first card I'll be sending soon. Because Christmas is right around the corner (something like 85 days, I believe)!

For this simple card I've chosen to work with myStamp Box Let it Snow stamp set. I stamped the snowflake on cardstock, heat embossed it and cut out. The sentiment comes from another set by the same company, Everyday Lines. I simply stamped it repeatedly and added some Stickles in between phrases. Then I matted this piece and adhered to my card.

The snowflake was adhered with some 3D adesive.

Hopefully you've enjoyed this card. Happy WCMD and happy {global} hopping! :)

Getting inky

Hello! It's been a while since I haven't got inky. The Distressy-fingers style. Yesterday was the day and I enjoyed it thoroughly! I had the idea of that card in my head for a couple of days and it ripened under the mild, indian Summer sun we're enjoying those days here in Switzerland. I used colors from Hero Arts monthly challenge.

Leafs are stamped and embossed on sticky back canvas. Then I cut them out, applied Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint Distress inks. And finally I've added and smeared some Distress Stickles all over them for some sparkle.

I made a card... And maybe I'm about to make another one! Because you probably know what's coming this Saturday: World Card Making Day, WCMD for the family... :) And I decided to join in the madness of a global blog hop. See you then (or maybe a bit before? *wink*)!

World Card Making Day

Bonjour!

Hello! Today is the World Card Making Day! Happy coincidence, I've got two cards to share! The first one is for the sketch #84 over at Card Patterns. Our sponsor this week is Jen Marie and Ippity stamps.

I needed a card for a newborn girl, hence the color choice (Distress inks Worn Lipstick and Walnut Stain). Since the text stamp is about a bright star I adde some Diamond Stickles on a few motifs and a touch of Gold Stickles on this one tiny star of the sentiment.

Now, on to the second card. I made it for Betsy Veldman's challenge. She proposed to take a non-Christmas project from Card Creations n°8 issue and make a Christmas project out of it. Since I don't have that issue, I've chosen a project shown on Moxie Fab World blog. It was a card by Renee Morris-Dezember (it's funny how her name fits!) that you can see in this post.

Facile!

I love to include some Origami folds on my creations and here was another occasion! I also used a very old paper collection by Making Memories that I bought at the very beginning of my scrapping adventure... The stamp is from myStamp Box and normally it's a one line sentiment. But it was way too long for the space I had. So I stamped it using some scotch masking technique (if that's any!) Super easy!

What's more to say? Oh yes, on Paper Crafts Connection blog there are photos collages from readers around the world and on the last one you can see my face, too! Happy WCMD!
