J'ai vu un joli alphabet, sur des cercles, avec un côté vintage... Les cercles m'ont fait pensé aux hexagones, si populaires en ce moment. Et l'alphabet, eh bien, ma fille me le chante tous les jours, vous savez "Quand trois poules vont au champ"... Alors, j'ai imprimé des Honeycomb Journaling tags de chez Avital, j'ai tamponné l'alphabet sur deux puis imprimé une partie de mon journaling sur un autre. J'ai encore tamponné deux fois sur le fond, ajouter le journaling, le titre et les papillons puis voilà! 

I saw a beautiful alphabet, on circles, with a vintage touch... The circles made me think about hexagones that are so in right now. And the alphabet, well, my daughter sings it everyday, you know the "Ah vous dirai-je Maman" tune... So, I've printed the Honeycomb Journaling tags from Avital, stamped alphabet on two of them, printed a part of the journaling on another one. I stamped some more on the background, added the rest of the journaling, the title, butterflies and voilà!

 Je crois que j'ai oublié mentionner la photo de ma fille plus haut!... :)

I guess I forgot to mention the picture of my daughter up there!... :)

Bicycle - bicycle.........

Hello! J'ai de nouveau deux pages pour vous! Et les deux sur le même thème, bien que les deux sont séparée par quelques 22 mois. Connaissez-vous une vieille chanson de Queen "Bicycle"? Je l'écoutais quand j'étais, hmmm, comment dire, plus jeune! :) Maintenant elle est revenue toute seule, on se demande pourquoi... Enfin, oui, mes enfants sachent faire du vélo et ce fait valait pas une mais deux pages. Une pour chaque, l'équité doit y avoir!!! Alors voici la première, pour ma fille qui a appris à faire du vélo à 2 roues en un temps record!

Hello! I have two new layouts for you! And both of them about the same subject even though they're separated by about 22 months. Do you know an old Queen's song "Bicycle"? I used to listen to it when I was, well, younger! :) Now it just came back immediately as I thought about writing my post... Anyway, yes, my kids know how to go on a bike and it was worth not one but two layouts! One per child, there must be equity!!! So here's the first one, for my daughter, who learned to go on a 2 wheel bike in a very short time!

J'ai pensé la faire participer au défi de Moxie Fab World sur le design dans la catégorie "Movement". Ici on commence par le titre, on descend sur les petites photo, on va forcément vers la grande, on jette un coup d'oeil sur le vélo tamponné, on descend sur la dernière petite photo et on se rend à gauche pour lire le journaling. :) Puis comme les 2 roues elles tournent, 'y a du mouvement de toute façon!!!

I thought to enter this layout into the Moxie Fab World's design challenge in the "Movement" category. We start by the bold title, follow through the small pictures, then go to the big one, we sweep through the stamped bike, go down to the last small pic and then go a bit back to read the journaling. :) And naturally, since the 2 wheels turn, there's movement anyway!!!

Et la deuxième, pour mon fils qui fait ami-ami avec la petite reine depuis belle lurette déjà. Ca m'a fait tout drôle de ressortir ces photos!!! J'ai fait exprès de garder ces beaux papiers de 4h37 pour cette page. Mais maintenant il va être difficile de m'arrêter, d'autres suivront...

And the second one, for my son who's acquainted with a bike since a very long time now. I felt all funny to take those pics out!!! I've also kept those great 4h37 papers especially for this layout but it will be very difficult for me to stop, others may follow...

De nouveau, je fais entrer cette page pour un des défis de MFW, cette fois dans la catégorie "Asymétrie". Au premier abord elle est symétrique (le papier de fond, celui du milieu et la photo). Mais le titre, le journaling, le tamponnage et les bidules sont tous à droite faisant peser la balance plus de ce côté et créant l'asymétrie justement...

Again, I enter this layout into one of the MFW challenges, this time into the "Asymmetry" category. At the first sight this layout is symmetrical (the background paper, the middle one and the picture). But then the title, journaling, stamping and the small embellishments are all on the right side, making it feel heavier at this side and thus creating asymmetry...

Après ces émotions fortes sans doute et informations quelque peu lourdes pour l'heure qu'il est, je vous souhaite une très bonne nuit! :)

After all those important and sort of heavy informations especially if you consider the late hour, I wish you a good night! :)

Des fleurs partout / Flowers everywhere

Hello! Oui oui, il y en a un peu partout. Même sur mon plan de travail! :) Et ce n'est pas parce qu'il a plut ces derniers jours! C'est plutôt à cause du défi de Moxie Fab World qui est le prolongement du dernier magazine spécial, Practical Solutions for Paper Crafters. J'en ai un peu parlé ICI... Enfin, maintenant comment la photo ci-après est en lien avec ce défi? Qu'est-ce que c'est tout ça?? Un vieux jeans et des anses qui viennent des sacs pour des cadeaux. Ouais, les sacs se sont cassés et moi j'ai gardé les anses. Pour plus tard! :)

Hello! Yes, yes, there are flowers everywhere. Even on my working surface! :) And that's not because it rained all those last days! It's rather because of Moxie Fab World challenge that comes in the straight line from the last special issue, Practical Solutions for Paper Crafters. I've rambled a little about it HERE... Anyway, now, how's the picture below related to that challenge? What's all this?? Well, an old jeans and some handles from old paper gift bags. Yep, those were broken, got recycled bit about those handles? Too pretty to go to waste bin. So I've kept them. For later. :)

Alors hier soir j'ai trituré un peu ces anses, cousu ci et là et obtenu quelques fleurs toutes mignonnes. Si vous ajoutez le fond en jeans, quelques vieux boutons, coutures avec une machine un peu fofolle et bien on obtient une petite carte avec des embellissement faits maison. Si vous voulez, j'ai essayé de faire ressortir ma fibre Julia Stainton qui passe maîtresse en question d'incorporer de tout et de rien dans ses créations. Visitez son blog et vous comprendrez...

So yesterday night I gave those handles a little workout, stitched here and there and got some cute flowers. If you add a background in a piece of jeans, some old buttons, some stitches with a crazy sewing machine, well, you obtain a card with home made embellies. I tried to channel my inner Julia Stainton fibre if you want and it felt good. She's a master in incorporating everything and anything on her creations. Just visit her blog and see for yourself!

J'ai aussi ajouté un morceau d'une carte en provenance du bureau de mon mari et l'accrochée avec des agraphes.

Il me semble d'avoir quelques anses noires cachées pour plus tard. Et si "plus tard" était maintenant?

I've also added a piece of ledger card coming straight from my husband's desk and attached it a couple of staples.

I think I have some black handles hidden somewhere for later. And what if "later" was now?

Hello! Yes, I saw a carpet and some tulips in this beautiful picture on Moxie Fab World.

Et j'ai pensé, pourquoi pas ne pas jouer pour une fois au Tuesday Trigger! En plus, une amie m'a demandé si j'avais des cartes pour Pâques qui n'ont pas de pour sujet des lapins ou des oeufs... Cela m'a travaillé pendant quelques jours et cette photo a vraiment était le déclencheur pour que je fasse quelque chose. C'était aussi une occasion rêvée pour tester ces tampons des tulipes que j'ai reçus d'une chère amie...

And I thought, why not play for once in Tuesday Trigger challenge! Plus, a friend of mine asked me recently if I had Easter cards that had no bunnies or eggs on them... This question was ob my mind for a few days and this picture really was a trigger for me to make something. It was also a great occasion to finally try those tulip stamps received a while ago from a dear friend...

Coeur en ballon / A balloon heart

Hello! J'ai tout plein de choses qui attendent un petit moment de ma part pour être postées. Mais ce soir je vais faire vite et vais vous montrer une petite carte faite pour le défi mensuel de Hero Arts. Le thème est L'amour (quoi d'autre en cette période de l'année???) et une combo de couleurs. Et voilà que ma carte combine les deux!

Hello! There are plenty of things just waiting for me to post them here. But tonight I'm gonna make it quick and will show you a card I made for the Hero Arts monthly challenge. The theme is Love and a color combo. And my card combines both of those!

Un petit historique de ce ballon en coeur. J'ai eu cette idée il y a un moment déjà, j'ai même fait une carte pour un appel mais elle n'a pas été choisie pour l'instant donc l'ai gardé sous le coude pour plus tard. Comme maintenant je vois que d'autres arrivent aux même conclusions (on peut faire des embellissements ronds en 3D, pourquoi pas avec des coeurs?), alors j'ai refait mon idée de ballon et nous voilà! En plus, cette combo de couleurs est assez rafraîchissante, vous ne trouvez pas? :)

A little story behind this heart balloon. I had this idea quite a moment ago, I even made a card that still hasn't been picked so I keep it for later. But I start to spot some others that came to the same conclusions (one can make 3D round embellies, why not heart shaped ones?), so I lifted my first card and here we are! Plus, this HA color combo is quite refreshing, don't you think? :)

J'entre aussi cette carte dans le défi sur Moxie Fab World sur l'utilisation des perforatrices. Voilà, je vais m'arrêter là. Mon lit m'appelle de façon insistante alors je vous dis à bientôt!

Une médaille... / A medal...

Bonjour! J'ai une petite médaille pour vous aujourd'hui. Oui, vous le méritez bien, vous tou(te)s qui passez par ici depuis plus de 2 ans et subissez le flot de paroles et mes caprices... Enfin, ce n'est qu'une médaille sur une carte que j'ai faite pour le défi de Moxie Fab World (mais je pense sincèrement que vous la méritez!) La voici:

Hello! I have a medal(lion) for you today. Yes, you deserve one, all of you who come here from more than 2 years now and endure the word flow and my whims... Well, it's only a medallion on a card that I made for Moxie Fab World challenge (although I still believe you deserve a medal!) Here it is:

Je l'ai fait moi-même en utilisant du tissu et un tuto comme ceci dont le net regorge.

I made it myself using some yummy white dotted grey fabric and a tutorial like this one.

J'espère qu'il n'y a pas trop de doute pour quelle occasion est la carte mais si jamais je vous donne quelques indices: couleur rose, des petits et gros pois, "félicitations"... Je suis sûre que vous y êtes! Et moi je sais même à qui je vais vraiment l'offrir mais chut! C'est un secret! ;-)

I hope there's no doubt in your mind for which occasion this is but if ever that be the case, here are some hints: pink color, small and bigger polka dots, "congrats"... I'm sure you're there! And I even know to whom this card will go very soon but shhht! It's a secret! ;-)

Project 12 - October

C'était un très bon choix à l'époque d'acheter des raub-ons blancs! Et enfin je m'en sert! :)

It was a great choice at the time to buy some white rub-ons! And I use them finally! :)

The story of October: we went to see our new nephew, the weather was so fine that we were quite often visiting the playground, we had two weekends off and went on a small trip where kids saw some snow and were simply delighted! At last, our daughter had a small accident while playing with a plug which costed us some time at the emergency. But all is well that ends well...

Je me suis fais plaisir à fabriquer quelques rosettes comme embellissements. Et c'est pourquoi je vais entrer ma page au concours sur Moxie Fab World. Voilà pour aujourd'hui, à bientôt!

Take 2

Hello again! As promised, here's another take on the same sketch as yesterday, for Moxie Fab World sketch challenge.

It's a card I made for the last PC call and it didn't make the cut. So here it is, a felt rainbow, a printed sentiment and stamped rain. I still like it I guess...

What I don't like is my old camera taking pictures. I just can't get it right! And I don't know if the newer (and broken) one will ever be fixed. That's somewhat depressing. But there's a long weekend on the horizon and that's perfect news! So, enjoy!

Sketch freak

Hi there! I'm sure you'll all agree: I am a huge sketch freak! I just love them! And use them quite often. I do some, too but I don't show them, I show you the result. Anyway, over at Moxie Fab World there are 4 sketch challenges currently. And I just had to try my hand at at least one of them (time, time, when will you be more clement to me?...)

So, here's a sketch by Miss Kim Kesti:

And my humble interpretation of it made with a cute stamp set by myStamp Box, A Tree for All Seasons.

It's an almost one layer card, apart from the sentiment which is pop dotted. I first drew the border with a marker, masked off one of them to stamp the tree. A 10 minutes card :)

If there's a moment in my quite busy schedule, I'll show you another one! Cheers!

Felt is Fab!

Hello there dear friends! I can't help but notice the steady approach of Autumn. Leaves changing colors, birds preparing to leave, all the fruit picking going on in our area... The other day there was a stork posing for pictures on our roof top! I can tell you, although the sky was clear, we thought there was a sudden storm coming because of cameras' flashes all around our house! We're still hot, even very hot but I'm afraid it won't last. And as I'm somehow mentally preparing for colder days, felt and other wools are very practical for someone like me. :)

Plus, somehow Fall equals Felt in my mind and hence this card was born which I made for the Moxie Fab World current challenge.

I've stamped numerous times this leaf from Floating leaves stamp set by myStamp Box and adheres them on a piece of natural linen fabric. Lot's of texture going on here! One extra leaf went for the sentiment which was computer generated. Here's a close up.

And how about your corner of the world? Are you still hot? Or can you feel Autumn coming, too? Anyway, enjoy the weekend!

Have you seen it yet? I have, it arrived in my mail box last Saturday. And I have to say it: it's a WOW issue! I've only started to flip through the pages but I'm WOW-ing on each and every one of them! Yes, I'm talking about the new Stamp it! Cards issue of Paper Crafts Magazine. Here's the cover.

And guess what? I have one card in this one. One only (and I won't tell you how many I've submitted...) but who cares? Since the issue goes on sale tomorrow I guess I can share it here with you. It's a card with my favorite layered embossed resist technique. For details you'll have to get the mag, though! :)

But that's not all. Today this card is featured among some gorgeous ones, coming from my "idols" on Moxie Fab World! It's incredible! I thought it wasn't ever possible... What a beautiful day it was! Thank you MFW!

Hello world! Today, I'm in need of rest even more than the other days (my dear kiddos...) so this will again be English-only post. Désolé mes chères amies francophones!!! Je vous aime toujours! :)

The absolutely-amazing-and-incredible beautiful weather continues, don't want to disgust you or anything. Just have a look at those lilacs that are in bloom in our garden! And it's official, chestnuts ARE blooming right now in my corner of the world...

Anyway, I have some cards to show you. Lately, we had a Pattern Showcase on myStamp Box blog. It was all about creating a background with stamps. I made a card using Itty Bittys stamps set, you can see it HERE. But ever since, this stamp set was stuck with me. I didn't really take time to play with it before but had some ideas that I could finally bring them to life. And since there are some fun little stamps in that set, I made a set of cards. That's very convenient for the Moxie Fab World's challenge! :)

Une évidence / An evidence

Bonsoir! La carte de ce soir est devenu une évidence du moment où j'ai combiné la palette de PDCC...

Hello! Tonight's card became an evidence once I've combined the PDCC color combo...

...avec le sketch d'Amy. C'était son premier sketch et depuis que je l'ai vu, je réfléchissais à cette ligne montante.

...with Amy's sketch. It was the first one in her Christmas series and ever since I've seen it for the first time, I was thinking about that swooping line.

Et enfin j'ai trouvé la solution. La photo est très mauvaise, le ciel était couvert de nuage quand je l'ai prise mais je vous assure que le jaune est vraiment plus vif en vrai! Même si pour couvrir l'étoile j'ai utilisé du glitter, encore... :) Du coup, elle va aller pour le défi de Moxie Fab World, encore!

And finally I've found the solution. The picture is very bad, the sky was all cloudy when I took it but I can assure that the yellow is much more splashy in real life! Even if I've chosen to use glitter on that star, again... :) And it will go for the Moxie Fab World's challenge, again!

C'est une de choses que j'ai apprises cette année: on peut coller du glitter (et plein d'autres choses) en utilisant du Glossy Accents, c'est génial! Et puisque cette carte est faite avec les tampons myStamp Box, un petit avertissement: vous pouvez gagner un set de tampons sur le blog de la compagnie! Mais dépechez-vous!

That's one of the things I've learned this year: you can adhere glitter (and other things) with Glossy Accents, it's perfect! And since this card is made with myStamp Box stamps, here's a giveaway alert: you can win a stamp set on the company's blog! Hurry up!

D'une pierre trois coups... / 3 in 1

Hello! Je suis de retour avec une carte et un mini tuto. Comme dit dans le poste précédent, pas de temps, alors sans tourner autour du pot, voici comment couvrir une image digitale (ou une autre) de glitter.

Hello! I'm back with another card and a short tutorial. As said in the previous post, there's no time to waste, so here is a how-to cover a digital image (or any other one) with glitter.

Voici une image imprimée et coloriée qui devait être découpée telle quelle. Mais j'ai changé d'avis et je l'ai couverte de scotch double-face...

Here's a digital image printed and colored that was supposed to be cut out as is. But I changed my mind and covered it with double sided adhesive...

... pour la découper ensuite...

... to cut it out next...

... et la saupoudrer de glitter.

... and cover it entirely with glitter.

Voilà le résultat.

Here's the result.

Et la carte. Pour le fond, j'ai "encré" un tampon de fond avec la "glue pad", tamponné puis ajouté du glitter également.

And here's the card. For the panel, I "inked" a background stamp using glue pad, stamped and added glitter, too.

Nouveau mois, vieux défis / New month, old challenges

Bonsoir! Le titre de ce billet était valable le jour où j'ai commencé à l'écrire. Mais bon, voilà, finalement ce n'est pas le titre qui vous intéresse le plus, j'espère!!! :) Bref, voici la première carte faite pour le défi du mois dernier sur Hero Arts - toutes les choses de l'automne. J'ai tamponné plusieurs fois ces petits fantômes sur des différents papiers que j'ai ensuite découpé. Puis je les ai tamponné de nouveau sur le fond, j'ai ajouté les bras avec un stylo noir, une ficelle autour de deux attaches parisiennes et voilà! En ce qui concerne le "Trick or treat", je crois bien que c'est à l'envers sur ma carte. Mais j'avoue qu'à passé 23 heures (quand je la terminais) je ne savais plus. Ca me semblait plus logique dans ce sens...

Hello! Today's post title was good on the day I started writing it. But well, finally it's not the title that interests you most, I hope!!! :) So, here's the first card I made for the last month's challenge over at Hero Arts - all things autumn. I stamped several times those little ghosts on patterned papers and cut them out. Then I stamped them again on the background paper, added hands with a black fine tip marker, a twine attached with brads and voilà! As to the sentiment, I think it's the other way around than it is on my card. But I confess that at 11 PM well passed, I just didn't know anymore. And it seemed more logical this way...

La deuxième était une carte faite en presque 5 minutes. Presque! Parce que mine de rien, bien aligner ce tampon de bord n'était pas une mince affaire! J'ai dû recommencer!!! Et j'ai aussi bien transpiré sur l'alignement des lettres. J'aurais dû en faire quelques unes d'un coup! Mais bon, il était évidemment trop tard... Le reste, coller les pierres était un peu plus facile... :)

The second card was made in almost 5 minutes. Almost! It doesn't look like it but it wasn't that easy to stamp those borders straight! I had to start over!!! And I've also had some hard time aligning the lettres. I had have to make more! But it was of course too late... The rest, to adhere rhinestones, was somewhat easier to do... :)
