Pffffffffff!!!!!!!!

Il fait chaud mais je ne vais pas me plaindre! Puis le mois de juin est presque fini et il s'en est passé des choses! Avec le mariage de ma belle-soeur pour couronner le tout! Cette journée était magnifique et inoubliable, un vrai mariage des rêves!!! Je ne vais pas vous embêter avec les photos des invités que j'étais censée prendre. Par contre, je peux vous montrer des photos du livre d'or que j'ai réalisé avec le même tampon et les mêmes couleurs que pour la carte Mr & Mrs montrée dernièrement.

It's hot outside but I won't be complaining! June is almost over and plenty of things happened during this month. The last (but not least by all means!) and biggest and greatest of all was my sister-in-law's wedding last Saturday. A true dream's wedding!!! I won0t be boring you with guests' pictures I was to take but I can show you some pics of the covers of books where guests left messages for the newlyweds. I made them (two) with the same stamp and colors to match the Mr & Mrs card I made before.

C'est la faute d'Alice! / It's all Alice's fault! ;-)

Oui, c'est ça. La fautive c'est Alice. Parce que c'est par son blog que j'ai appris l'existence, il y a de ça quelques jours, d'un site avec des produits digitaux. Et voilà, que hier c'était le "blog hop" avec un magnifique kit à ramasser au passage. Et quand je dis magnifique, il faut me croire! Parce que aussitôt vu, aussi tôt travaillé! Et comme pour goûter une friandise, en on prend juste un petit peu et on se laisse le gros reste pour après, quand on aura un peu plus de temps. Voilà donc une carte, toujours pour le sketch de 2 Sketches 4 You avec ces délicieux papiers.

Yes, that's it. It's all Alice's fault. It's because of her that I came to know DHD site a few days ago. And yesterday they had a blog hop with a fabulous free kit to collect along the way. And when I say fabulous, you must believe me! As soon as I have seen all the pieces, I had to do something with them. It's like tasting some really good sweets: you take just a little bit and you leave the rest for you to savor when you have more time. So here's a card made with those delicious papers for 2 Sketches 4 You.

Et encore une deuxième (et je m'arrête là pour ce défi) sur laquelle j'ai essayé une nouvelle technique, c'est à dire l'embossage avec une poudre Distress. J'ai fais comme ça le fond avec les gros pois et deux feuilles. J'aime bien le rendu, un peu rugeux, un peu usé...

And one more (and I'll stop there for this challenge) on which I tried a new technique (for me!): embossing with Distress embossing powder. I embossed the background and two leaves. And like the effect a little bit rough, a little bit used...

2 Sketches 4 You - suite / cont.

Aujourd'hui j'ai à vous présenter deux cartes que j'ai faites pour le premier sketch de "2 Sketches 4 You". Voilà le sketch principal:

Ca fait un moment que je voulais utiliser les alphabet chipboard sur une carte, voilà chose faite. Et d'autres idées en cours! ;-) Cette carte correspond aussi au défi en cours sur Caardvarks - une carte monochrome, cool! Il n'y a que les tampons de My Stamp Box sur cette carte, mon préféré du lot c'est le rond avec lequel j'ai fais la bordure. J'en ai incisé un côté pour y insérer l'étiquette et le panneau vert.

It's been quite a while since I wanted to use Thickers on a card, and here it is! I'm finishing up this Gift Box alphabet which is one of my favs. This card fits also the current challenge over at Caardvarks - a monochromatic theme, cool! There are only My Stamp Box stamps on this card, my favorite - the round one I used to make the border. I cut one side of it to tuck there the green panel.

Pour vous montrer la deuxième carte, j'ai fais un petit montage parce qu'il y avait plusieurs photos. Sur le devant de la carte il y a un papillon à 3 couches sur un fond embosser blanc sur blanc. Et à l'intérieur un petit papillon embossé avec une poudre scintillante et une petite phrase. Un peu compliqué pour tout mettre sur une photo! ,-)

In order to show you the second card I made a montage since there are several pictures of the card. On the card front I heat embossed the background white on white and the butterfly is 3-ply. And inside of the card there's a small butterfly embossed with "kaleidoscope" embossing powder and the sentiment. A bit complicated for just one picture! ;-)

Nouveau sketch / A new sketch

Cette semaine je joue de nouveau avec les sketches de "2 Sketches 4 You". Pour commencer, le sketch supplémentaire, question de se mettre dans le bain. :)

J'ai réalisé le tag sur cette carte en utilisant la même technique que pour le mini du Scrap Rendez Vous #13. Mais il est vrai que le look de ce nouveau tag a été influencé par les dernières créations de Carole! Merci pour inspiration!

I made the tag on this card using the same technique as for my mini album made for Scrap Rendez Vous #13. But it is true that the look of it was strongly influenced by the beautiful creations by Carole! Thanks for the inspiration!

Voilà un deuxième essai pour ce sketch qui m'a beaucoup plu! Maintenant il va falloir choisir la carte qu'on donnera à ma belle-mère, celle-ci ou celle du poste précédent. :) Et juste au cas où vous vous êtes posé la question, je tente le coup pour entrer dans l'équipe créative de 2S4U. C'est pour ça peut-être que les idées fusent et une mène à une autre. Alors, croison les doigts! :)

Here's a second take on this sketch that I liked a lot! now, we'll have to decide which card we're gonna give to my mother-in-law: this one or the one from the previous post! :) And just in case you were wondering, yes, i'm trying to make it for the DT call over at 2S4U. Maybe that's why I have so many ideas, looking for what's best in my head, one idea leading to another one. So, wish me luck! :)

Une touche d'orange / A touch of orange

Ces derniers jours j'ai vu ci et là des cartes en noir & blanc avec une touche d'orange. Puis hier, enfin, je m'y suis intérésée d'un peu plus près pour découvrir qu'il s'agit d'un défi de Play Date Café. Tard le soir j'ai eu une idée et je réalisé ma carte aujourd'hui. Parce que la date buttoir est ce soir! Donc pas une minute à perdre, voici ma carte:

Over those last few days, I've seen here and there some cards in black & white with a touch of orange. Yesterday I looked closer and discovered that they were made for Play Date Café's challenge. Yesterday night I had an idea for a card and I made it today. The deadline is for tonight so there's no time to lose!

Ca tourne rond! / Round and round...

Après toutes ces cartes faites dernièrement, je me pose la question suivante: sais-je encore faire une page?! Alors, j'en ai fais une hier pour répondre au défi de SRM Stickers: un projet avec des ronds. Pour inclure des ronds sur ma page, j'ai utilisé des stickers Kesi'art que je trouve super chouette mais jusque là j'ai eu de la peine à les utiliser. Voilà, le premier petit pas...

After all those cards made lately, I asked myself a question: do I still know how to make a layout?! And yesterday I made one for SRM Stickers challenge: a project with circles. To include circles on my layout I took some Kesi'art round stickers (one of them says "Freedom" and the other "The truth comes out of children's mouth". Explanation below :)). I find they are so cool but till now had troubles using them. That's the first step! (The journaling is about a visit we had of two great-grand-mothers the other day. They stayed for lunch and when I served it, my son asked: Why isn't it in the pots? Because well, normally I serve the food in pots rather than in serving dishes. But rest assured, we still eat in plates! :) So well, my son speaks his mind out loud and it was rather funny!)

En fait, j'en ai fais une autre page la semaine dernière selon le sketch de Nicole. J'aime beaucoup ses sketches et sa manière de scrapper en général. Donc je me suis régalée encore une fois!

In fact, I made another layout a week ago using Nicole's sketch. I love her sketches and her scrapping style in general. So I was happy to work on that sketch!

C'est fini... / It's over...

Toutes bonnes choses ont une fin. Alexandra est partie hier avec sa fille vers des nouvelles aventures après deux jours qui étaient tout simplement magiques! C'est tellement extraordinaire de voir quelqu'un qu'on connait virtuellement pour du vrai! Maintenant, quand je vais lire ces messages, je vais l'entendre en quelque sorte et j'en suis vraiment heureuse!

All things come to en end. Alexandra and her daughter left yesterday after staying with us two days. And those days were really extraordinary! It is so incredible to meet someone one knows virtually in person! Now, when I read her messages, I'll hear her in fact! And this makes me happy!

Pour cette dernière carte, j'ai tournée le sketch la tête en bas et j'ai remplacé la bande du milieu par les "gouttes" d'eau. J'ai aussi fais un masque pour faire les nuages avec les encres Distress.

For this last card, I turned the sketch up side down and replaced the middle part by the "rain drops". I also made a mask to make the clouds with Distress inks.

Vous avez remarqué? pour le deuxième sketch j'ai utilisé deux fois le même tampon. En fait, je viens de le recevoir des mains d'Alexandra et je l'aime beaucoup! Il a vraiment éclairé ma / mes journées! Donc, il me semblait tout à fait approprié de l'utilisé sur ces cartes! Et pour terminer, je vous montre la surprise qui est arrivée ce matin dans la boîte aux lettres: un paquet de la part de Deborah chez qui j'ai gagné un candy! Avec deux tampons très mignons et des tags de MM! Merci! Et bon dimanche à tous!

Did you notice? For the second sketch I used twice the same stamp! In fact, I just got it from Alexandra and I love it! It really did brighten my day! So, it seemed only natural to use it on those cards! And to end thos post, here's a picture of the surprise that arrived this morning by mail: an envelope from Deborah who sent me some goodies I won in her inspirational reward blog candy! Two new stamps and tags by MM! Thanks! And to all of you, a terrific Sunday!

Get Sketchy #33

Je poursuis sur ma lancée selon le vieil adage qui dit qu'une carte par jour éloigne le médecin! ;-) Et là, pour le sketch numéro 33 de Get Sketchy, j'en ai même fais deux (une pour hier et une pour aujourd'hui)!

I still follow the old saying "A card per day keeps the doctor away"! ;-) And for the sketch #33 from Get Sketchy I made two cards - one for yesterday and one for today!


Pour cette carte j'ai utilisé Perfect Pearls sur les fleurs pour leur donner un joli brillant. Mais je dois faire quelque chose pas très bien parce que ça donne moins bien qu'à quoi je m'attendais. Une technique à suivre...

For this card I used Perfect Pearls to make the flowers a little bit shiny. But it's less beautiful than what I thought it'd be. Something to improve...



Pour la carte suivante j'ai renversé les choses un peu. J'ai utilisé le tampon de fond, "Friendship Definition" pour faire les ronds. Et j'ai disposé ces derniers un peu différemment pour ne pas couvrir entièrement les fleurs qui sont sur le fond.

For the next card, I changed things a little bit. I used the background stamp, "Friendship Definition" to make the circles. And I arranged those in a different manner to reveal the big flowers on the background.

Défi SRM challenge

L'inspiration pour les titres n'est toujours pas revenue... Mais ua moins il y a des cartes qui naissent!!! En voilà une pour le défi de SRM stickers. Il fallait interpréter ce sketch:

J'ai eu toujours sur mon bureau ces restes de papiers Kaiser que j'ai reçu une fois et que j'ai utilisé sur CETTE page. Les couleurs sont parfaite pour une carte masculine. Peut-être que je la garderai pour quand mon garçon sera un peu plus grand? Puis, vous avez remarqué? AUCUN TAMPON!!! Incroyable! Pas de stickers SRM non plus, j'en ai pas encore. Mais j'espère bientôt en avoir. Parce qu'ils sont cool! A bientôt!

I had those Kaiser Crafts paper scraps and always wanted to make a card with them. They were left over from THIS layout. I find the colors perfect for a masculine card. Maybe I'll keep it for my boy when he grows up a bit? And did you notice? NO STAMPS!!! Incredible! There's no SRM sticker either because I don't have any for the moment. But soon I will for sure because they're so cool (and no, I'm not paid to say that!) See you soon!

La fête des Mères est pour bientôt, quoique en Pologne on la fête toujours le 26 mai donc j'ai encore le temps. Mais c'est aussi le thème du nouveau défi mensuel sur Hero Arts, pourquoi pas donc avoir un peu d'avance (pour une fois!) Comme vous pouvez le constater, j'ai joué avec mes nouveaux tampons HA, Large flower et Friendship definition. Et je suis accro!!! A tout bientôt!

But since this is also the new monthly challenge theme over at Hero Arts, I thought why not be in advance (for once!)
